The Day the Music Died…

No, this isn’t a blog post about the plane crash that killed Buddy Holly, the Big Boppa, and Ritchie Valens back in 1959.  However, this news item is just as tragic and almost as big a blow to the music industry…

Yes.  Chas and Dave have split up.

The legendary duo, who have penned such classic hits such as ‘Rabbit’ and ‘Snooker Loopy’, appear to have parted ways following the untimely death of Dave’s wife – according to today’s Sun.

A tragic story all round really.

If I could, I would grow a beard to commemorate them. 

As it is, I shall just have to write this blog post as tribute to the cheeky, whiskered, cockneys, and leave you with the song “Rabbit”.
